Hey guys :)
this is for all the people who want to visit Brissie and don't know where to go or what to do or all the people who are interested in what I'm doing over here..
My absolute favorite spot is the Kangaroo Point!!! (FAVORITE)
The Kangaroo Point is actually not a real point, more a long street with grass areas. You can climb on the walls, do canoe tours, rent a jetski and more fun stuff. All these adventures you can buy at http://riverlife.com.au/. They also have a store directly at the Kangaroo Point next to the water. Sometimes there are really nice private partys there, too. And there is a rack in front of the store where you have the best view to the skyline of Brissie!! I really love it there. You can see the beautiful sunset behind the city - incredible!
The easiest way to get there is a nice 20min walk from Southbank next to the water but you also can take the City Hopper to the Thornton Street Ferry Terminal. Another way is to take the small ferry from Eagle Street Pier (The City Cat doesn;t stop there, unfortunately).
Another favorite spot of mine is the Hamiltion Eat Street Market!!
I loooove good food and this is really a place where people like me feel in heaven! You can eat EVERYTHING here. From Sush to Pizza to Steak to Cheesecake to cotton candy to unbelieveable (my fav foodtruck) good things by a cook from a TV Show called ''Masterchef''.(Ten Piece Cutlery) Soooo yum he left already this market, unfortunately)!!!
But the best thing is the combination of live music (many different spots there), all the beautiful lights in the trees and on the fence and of course the gorgeous food! And you only pay $2,50 entry.
The best way to get to this nice place is the ferry. From Southbank it takes about 1h to get there. The best time for this is of course when the sun goes down because then you have the different views of the skyline of Brissie and can enjoy the nice wind on the boat. Costs about $3,50 but you dont have to change any trains or busses and the short walk to the market between cute restaurants is also very nice. The Eat Street Market opens every Friday and Saturday in the evening and on Sundays from morning till the afternoon. (check better the website before!)

Best Ice Coffee in the city is at: COFFEE POST (FAVORITE)
You can just go from the Central Station down the escalator and then not through the food court, just turn left onto the (its kind of a) bridge, which leads over Adelaide Street to Post Office Square. There you get a REALLY REALLY nice Ice Coffee (I always say ''the one with ice cream'' just in case) for only $5!!!! YUUUM!
(And the best part is you can enjoy your coffee there in between skyscrapers on the grass and it just looks amazing!! Looove it!)

City Hall:
You can go on the tower with the clock above the City Hall. Just go to the elevators at the entrance to the right and go up to the Museum. There you have a look around in the museum and wait until it's time to go up the tower. Normally they go up every 15min and its for free!

By the way here are a few shopping tipps:
Shoes:
Sneakerdreams: by HYPE in 187-189 Albert Street.

Betts in 121 Queen Street.

Clothes:
Seed
CityBeach
Southbank:
Southbank is probably the most popular spot in Brisbane but just in case you don't belive me here a few photos. I really recommend it's because its just an awesome spot to chill! You can lie on the beach with a nice view of Brissie's skyline and go later or in between for lunch/dinner/a beer or a coffee in one of the many beautiful restaurants/bars/cafes around. ''Max Brenner'' is perfect for chocolate lovers. Really good ice cream you get either at ''Nitrogenie'' or at ''Mr Fitz'' (ice cream sandwich between cookies - yummy!) and a nice spot for drinking a cool beer is ''Plough Inn''.

Eagle Street Pier:
Very nice in the evening for a beer in a nice bar (I like the ''Riverbar'' a lot because of all the lights under the umbrellas). You sit directly next to the water with a nice view of the ''Story Bridge''! I've heard a lot good things about ''Fridays'' if you want to go out with a bit more style (unfortunately I never made it to this club, but next time I'm in Brissie I'll go and then I can tell you how it was...)
Fortitude Valley:
Ric's (they have such a nice backyard with so many lights over it)
Prohibition (love the ceiling here!! Music is mixed.. But normally a mix of Electro and House depends on which DJ is there. You don't have to pay entry)
Our Place (when I was there they played old chart hits from the last few years)
Retro's (explains itself)
Killarney Glen:
Its a swimming hole you can jump in. From one point it looks like it has a heart-shape and it's actually pretty nice there! You walk a footpath down for approximately 15mins. Unfortunately, you have to walk up the hill on the way back which is pretty exhausting, especially when the sun is hot!!
Check out the internet before you plan to go there because sometimes its closed.

Jimmy's on the Mall:
Nice restaurant on Queen Street. A bit more expensive than the food court of course but its very nice and if you don't want to spent that much money you can just order a milkshake for $5 and enjoy the view from the nice terrace.

Master Tom's:
Also a small cute restaurant, at the end of Albert Street. After you ate a burger there you can go for a walk into the botanic garden, lie down there and enjoy the view!!
The Fox:
A rooftop bar in Southbank. Nice view of the skyline and good music!
Botanic Garden:
Its a really nice place to just lie in the grass and enjoy the good weather! You can walk directly next to the water on the footpath to Queen Street or walk over the Goodwill Bridge to Southbank. (On the bridge, there is a small Café with a nice view of the skyline)
Mount Coot-tha:
This is also another Botanic Garden which is nice to visit. Even higher is a lookout where you have an awesome view over Brissie!
Sunday Session in the green: (FAVORITE)
One of my favorite event every weekend is the live music in Southbank. There is a grass area, where you can drink alcohol and listen to the nice music in the afternoon with your friends, while sitting next to the river! (check it out! Its beautiful and really relaxed! http://www.eatsouthbank.com.au/event-guide/sunday-sessions-green/ )
Other places which are worth a visit:
Byron Bay

Stradebrok Island
Gold Coast
Sunshine Coast
